This compatible DS-SFP-FC16G-SW part is a small form factor pluggable SFP+ shortwave transceiver for 16G Fibre Channel (16GFC) applications. It can support links of up to 100 metres over OM3 multimode fibre. This module incorporates an 850nm VCSEL transmitter and a PIN photodetector into a duplex LC optical connector. It is a multi-rated 850nm optical transceiver that supports Fibre Channel specifications of 14.025/8.5/4.25G. It complies with SFF-8431 Rev. 4.1 and SFF-8472 Rev. 11.0 of the Small Form Factor Pluggable Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA). It has been configured to work with Cisco 16G SAN switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs), and other storage networking hardware.
