Link lengths of up to 10km over LC duplex SMF fibre are supported by the Cisco SFP-10G-LR compatible SFP+ transceiver. This transceiver meets the specifications of SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and IEEE 802.3ae. Digital diagnostics monitoring is available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472. This 10G SFP+ transceiver is ideal for data centres, enterprise wiring closets, service provider transport applications, Radio & Baseband Units, and other low-power, high-speed applications.
